Welcome to the Logan Sweet Foundation. 
This foundation was created in memory of our son, Logan Sweet, who passed away on May 9th, 2008 from Viral Myocarditis.
The foundation's mission is to raise funds and awareness of Viral Myocarditis, and to promote good health and eating habits as well as emphasize the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.

This years fundraiser will be a Cocktails and Convases event.  Join us for a night of painting in memory of Logan.  This event will benefit the Logan Sweet Foundation and will be held at Kimberly's Restaurant and Lounge in Richmond.  Click on the link to learn more and to get tickets.  Limited seating, so purchase soon to reserve your spot.  Thank you.

May 6th, 2012 - Bowdoinham Community School -                                  Bowdoinham Maine

4th Annual Celebrate Logan: The Logan Sweet                                                       Memorial 5k & Fun Run
            GET EXERCISING! -  GET HEALTHY!
                     
Live Life the Logan Way

This event race will start and end at the Bowdoinham Community School located on Cemetary Road in Bowdoinham Maine from 9:30am-12pm.  Sign Up and registration will begin at 8:00am. 
The Kids Fun Run will begin at 9:30 (a 1 mile run)

There will be refreshments (snacks and beverages) before and after the event.  We will display the Myocarditis Exhibit - "Not a Blank Canvas".  This exhibit displays many people, old and young who have suffered or are still suffering from Myocarditis.  Come and read their stories.

There will be auction items and raffles for sale from local business as well as a beautiful Harp Lullaby CD which was made by a wonderful group of women, including my mother.  Click HERE to order online

There will be prizes for the first female and first male winners as well as the person who raises the most donations from sponsors - Prizes TBD

This is an event the whole family can enjoy.  Run or walk the 5K.   Kiddos can register for the Fun Run.  Strollers and wagons are welcome for little ones in the 5K.  This event will happen rain or shine

Update - The Third Annual Celebrate Logan: Live Life - WOW Fundraiser was a wonderful event.  The WOW performers (Woodside One Wheelers) put on an amazing show.  What a great group of very talented kids.  A big Thank you to Eric, the coach of the WOW performers and to all the talented kids who participated at the event.   I am just overwhelmed with the help and support that came from our community.  Thank you to all of my family and friends for helping to put on another great fundraiser.  I could not have done this alone.   The money raised will go to the Myocarditis Foundation for research and to the Logan Sweet Foundation to promote a healthy and active living.  Thank you all for your continued support in the Logan Sweet Foundation.  Click Here to view pictures of the event.

- Woodside Elementary School -                                      Topsham Maine

Third Annual Celebrate Logan: Live Life - WOW Fundraiser.
   
This event will be held at Woodside Elementary School in Topsham Maine on May 1st, 2011 from 2-4pm. There will be a performance by the Woodside One Wheelers (WOW) and a juggling demonstration for all to participate.  There will be an auction table, snacks and refreshments, information about Myocarditis as well as some items for raffling.
An event the whole family can enjoy.  You may purchase American Girl Doll and Target raffles in advance by going to the Donation page.

Sept 11th, 2010
- Bowdoinham Waterfront

Celebrate Bowdoinham - All day event

      On Saturday September 11th, 2010 the Town of Bowdoinham will hold its 248th Birthday Celebration at Mailly Waterfront Park on the banks of the Cathance River.  The Logan Sweet Foundation will have a booth in the food area selling Edy's Novelty Ice Cream items for a small price.  The proceeds will go to the Logan Sweet Foundation to help raise awareness of Viral Myocarditis and to promote good health and eating habits as well as the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.  Thank you to all the wonderful families for helping, organizing and running the Logan Sweet Foundation booth.

So please stop by the Bowdoinham Celebration and enjoy an Edy's ice cream while supporting a very important cause.  Thank you very much.

Update - The iTri For Logan - Sprint Triathlon was a wonderful event.  Lisa was Awesome!.  Thank you so much Lisa.  With all of her hard work, training and her wonderful support group, Lisa was able to raise about $2300 that will go to The Logan Sweet Foundation.  Great Job Lisa!!  To read about her experience and to view pictures of the event, please click here.

May 22rd, 2010 - Freeport Maine YMCA

iTri For Logan - Sprint Triathlon run by Lisa Sweet

      Lisa Sweet is training and preparing her body to run a Sprint Triathlon to help raise money for the Logan Sweet Foundation.  She will be swimming 1/5 mile, biking 12 miles, and then finishing the race by running 3 miles.  Come and show your support and cheer Lisa on at the Freeport YMCA on May 23rd.  Or you can donate in support of Lisa by clicking here

Update - The Second Annual Celebrate Logan: Down By The Bay Fundraiser was a wonderful event.  We had a gorgeous day and many families came to enjoy a beautiful concert on the Bay to celebrate and remember Logan.    Thank you so much for all who participated in making this day a huge success.   It was a great day and we could not have done it without everyone's help and support.  A big Thank You to Matt Loosigian for donating his time to perform and sing for the event and to our family for helping to setup and run all of the booths.  Currently, we have raised about $5600 this year.   The money raised will go to the Myocarditis Foundation for research and to the Logan Sweet Foundation to promote healthy living.  Thank you all for your continued support in the Logan Sweet Foundation.  Click HERE to view pictures of the event.

Second Annual Celebrate Logan: Down By The Bay Fundraiser.
   
This event will be held at the Bowdoinham waterfront on May 2nd, 2010 from 2-4pm. There will be a music concert put on by Matt Loosigain, dancing, snacks and refreshments, seed planting, face painting an activity table, an auction table, information on Myocarditis and more.  An event the whole family can enjoy.  Please bring chairs and blankets to sit on for the concert.  If the weather calls for rain, the event will take place at the Town Hall at 13 School Street in Bowdoinham.

October 30, 2009  Bowdoinham Community School

Healthy Snack.   The Logan sweet Foundation will be providing the entire school apples as a healthy snack for the day.  The snack is to help balance out with the Halloween candy that children will be receiving the next day.

First Annual Celebrate Logan: Moves and Grooves Fundraiser.
   
This event will be held at the Bowdoinham Community School recreation field from 3-5pm.  There will be music, dancing, face painting, informational booths on Myocarditis and the importance of regular check-ups, booths on exercising, and good cleaning habits, an auction, snacks and refreshments, an activity table, and a special guest - Candace Moose, cofounder of the Myocarditis Foundation and a Myocarditis survivor.
Update - The fundraiser was a HUGE success.  Thank you all who participated, helped, volunteered, donated, supported and danced for the 1st Annual Moves and Grooves fundraiser.  We raised about $8000 in all.  That money will help the Myocarditis Foundation, as well as help spread the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle.  Click HERE to view pictures.  A beautiful article was written prior to the event.  You can read it here...
